Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino

Renovated Areas - Coming 2016

Our renovated Aruba hotel will welcome guests with an entirely new look inspired by the property’s rich history, combined with a modern beach esthetic. The new design will honor the resort’s original architect, Morris Lapidus. His work brought sweeping gestures to traditional architecture and audacious opulence to the world of resort design. The very essence of the Aruban beach, with its vast sands and signature breeze, will extend through our resort with furniture, materials and textures for a truly unique Caribbean vacation.

Whether you're new to Hilton Aruba or one of our many loyal guests, we look forward to welcoming you with our renovated facilities, world-class culinary offerings and genuine Aruban hospitality.

Pool & Beach

Our active and passive pool decks will feature specialty cabanas with new trellises, day beds, lounge seating, side tables, hammocks and umbrellas. Oversized cabanas will be designed for functions, with a hospitality desk, TV, living and lounging areas, sofas and daybeds.

Our stunning beach will be surrounded by lush, refreshed landscaping and will include a new professional beach tennis court. Our guests will have access to rackets and balls to play at their leisure or participate in a guided game to learn the sport.

Guest Rooms & Suites

Our guest rooms and suites will boast new curtains and window treatments, designed to provide the desired light intensity at every moment. Exquisite decorative touches will be present in every element of your private space, from the new wooden furniture to the new carpet and carefully selected vintage photos with color accents. Guests will relax and recharge in our refreshed bathrooms.

Our inviting beds will be fitted with plush new bedding and facing 50-inch HDTVs. Let the breeze flow and connect you from the nearby ocean to your private balcony or patio with a seating area and new furniture.

Porte Cochere

Upon arrival you'll be greeted by a calming and welcoming entrance. The choreographed combination of natural materials will bring a playful, lighthearted feel to the expansive porte-cochere. The earthy woods, paired with smooth stone, will seem weathered and honed by the wind and sea, putting you in instant vacation mode.

A wall of succulents, cacti and ferns that inhabit the natural Aruba landscape will be the main feature in the open-air lobby. Our registration pods will remind you of simple, handcrafted boats that have washed ashore.

Lobby Area

Our spacious lobby areas will be broken into smaller, intimate seating areas all of which feature historical images of Aruba, artfully taken in the middle of the last century. The thoughtfully combined plants will bring the outdoors in and make the lobby feel as though it truly is an extension to sand, sea and weathered vegetation of the Aruba landscape.

The Lobby Café, at the heart of the reception area, will boast a communal table and rocking chairs to complement the fabulous Smit & Dorlas coffees, supporting connectivity and comfort.

The lobby retail area adjacent to the Lobby Café, and the added seating areas with umbrellas, under the skylight, will add to the location's form and functionality as a lively hub of day and night activities.

A new feature, the open air lobby lounge, located at the lobby garden entrance will receive an extended wood deck over a water element, with additional seating, lounge chairs, cocktail tables and planters.

Laguna Restaurant

Our breakfast buffet venue will maintain its outdoor and indoor character, and receive a new railing on the deck, a fresh wood finish, a new spacious bar design with stone bar top and bar stools, all in muted blue and green hues, as a backdrop for the lush landscaping.

Sunset Grille

The resort’s signature restaurant has already been refreshed recently and, at this second phase, will receive a new wood terrace bridge with dining tables and chairs, new metal railing, a communal dining table and picturesque cantilever umbrellas.

Mira Solo Bar

Our outdoor bar, perched atop a waterfall, features sweeping vistas and ocean breezes. Our new centerpiece will be a sculpture, a tree crafted of branches that span the ceiling, a reference to the iconic Aruban Divi-divi tree, which symbolizes tenacity and resilience in adversity, shaped by the unrelenting wind over the years.

At night the outdoor bar will transform when the tree is lit with tiny lights throughout, creating a fire fly affect. The surrounding seating areas will include a fire pit resembling a beachfront bonfire, where guests can mingle and enjoy culinary offerings.

Elevators & Corridors

The look is refinished with stainless steel and fabric panels, recessed lighting and back-printed glass artwork with oversize porcelain tile floors and pebble stone borders. The elevators throughout the property will open onto elevator lobbies with accent pebble stone thresholds. The landing spaces will be furnished with lounge chairs, low tables, planters, floor lamps, original retro artwork, wall mirrors and stylish ceiling pendants.

The corridors on all resort floors will receive an elegantly designed custom carpet, new ceiling lights and wall sconce, in a hushed and subdued natural palette, harmonizing with the room doors with wood trim.
