Things To Do
Enjoy your stay at Hilton Munich Park with its unique location right next to Englischer Garten that is even bigger than New York’s Central Park. Englischer Garten offers many highlights such as Seehaus Beer Garden and famous China Turm with activities all year through – beer garden during summer with a typical Bavarian marching band and Christmas market during winter with traditional Christmas carols. So do as the locals do – just enjoy.
Only a short stroll through the park puts you right in the restaurant and bar scenes of Schwabing. Continue your walk and you will find yourself in Munich’s Old Town. Marienplatz is a beautiful place to have a coffee and listen to the famous Glockenspiel in the town hall at 11am and noon. A must see is the historic Viktualienmarkt farmers’ market where you can enjoy traditional Bavarian beer at one of the beer gardens. The world’s largest museum of technology and science, the Deutsches Museum, with exhibitions from astronautics and marine navigation to pharmacy and tunnel construction, is always worth a visit. Take a walk along the river Isar and relax on the picturesque riverbank or see how former Bavarian rulers lived at Nymphenburg Palace, a beautiful baroque castle.
Listen to a concert of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra at the cultural center Gasteig or admire modern art exhibitions at the Neue Pinakothek. Go for a walk at Olympiapark, the venue of the Summer Olympics 1972 and visit the BMW museum situated right next to the park.
