Hotel Lobby

Set in the heart of the US capital, this downtown Washington, DC hotel serves as a convenient base when sightseeing in this historically rich city.

The hotel lobby is a bright, open L-shaped area with tiled floors and high ceilings. Along the south wall of the Lobby is the Front Desk which features a long counter allowing for multiple guests to be accommodated with guest registration, check-in and concierge services. On the west side of the lobby is the bell desk and elevator landing to access the guest room floors. There is a gift shop also along the west side of the lobby. The hotel’s lobby bar is centrally located in the middle of the lobby, with several seating areas including couches and arm chairs near the entrance. The seating in the lobby bar consists of several tables with four chairs, a lengthy bar with stools and a variety of smaller communal areas with couches and armchairs. The flooring in the lobby is mostly marble tiles except for the seating areas, which have carpet. The flooring of the lobby bar is dark wood throughout with several rugs placed under seating areas. Access to the lobby bar is available via stairs to the right of the bar and directly in front of it on the southern side, as well as a wheelchair lift located in the southwest corner to the left of the bar. The lobby bar is across from the hotel’s main entrance on 16th Street, where large glass doors open onto an open titled corridor. Upon entering the main doors, guests turn right to access the Front Desk and the technology station with computers, printers and internet access. At the entrance, guests may proceed straight ahead to the lobby bar, or turn left to access the Executive Lounge and the North Gate Grill restaurant.

Google has developed the same Street View technology used in streets around the world and applied it to the interior of hotels, creating a high-quality, interactive, 360-degree experience.
