What to do around here
With its private beachfront location, the Hilton Hurghada Resort is the ideal place from which to experience Hurghada’s renowned water sports and scuba diving. Snorkel in the crystal clear waters and see a vast array of marine life and coral reef. Book a lesson with the on-site Pirates Diving School who offer a range of PADI courses suitable for all ages and all levels or join them on one of their organized day trips. Water activities include windsurfing and water skiing which can be arranged through the water sports center. Away from the water’s edge head for the El Dahar district of the town which remains as the traditional heart of modern Hurghada, it is home to a number of unique shops, the old harbor and a bustling fish market. Beyond the town lies the dramatic Sahara Desert which can be explored by joining a tour of the area. These tours take place in four-by-fours, quad bikes and on camel, many of them include a traditional Bedouin barbeque.
