Set amidst the breathtaking landscape of the Sahyadri mountain range in the Western Ghats, Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa is exclusively located within the undisturbed natural beauty of a private estate, offering complete seclusion and serenity.
This all-villa retreat offers you a range of stunning settings for your stay, from rice fields and bamboo plantations to virgin forests. Villas are beautifully decorated in cool, calming tones and feature private decks or balconies, restful valley or forest views, and dedicated spa treatment areas. In addition, the Spa Pool Villas and Presidential Pool Villas include private swimming pools.
Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa has been rated as the ‘Best Luxury Spa Resort’ in India in the Business Destinations Travel Awards 2013. The retreat also has the distinction of being acknowledged among the top 5 new luxury resorts in India in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2013.
Our 70-acre spa features 17 treatment rooms, a meditation cave, three consultation rooms and a relaxation center. With expert therapists and visiting Masters, the resort offers a variety of experiences including Pranic Healing, Chakra Cleansing, Hydro Therapy, Tai Chi and Watsu. The spa concept at Hilton Shillim is inspired by the oldest healing system of Ayurveda and yoga, and incorporates reiki, acupressure, aromatherapy and naturopathy. Programs are individually customized.
The design for the retreat began in 1997 with the vision to create a world-class development to preserve this small, but increasingly vulnerable area of the Western Ghats. The project grew out of a love for the landscape, with its high ridges and benches, diverse forests, and low-lying agricultural land, a magical setting that reconnects people with the natural world, redirects energies and restores health. The design methods are as ecologically sound as possible, and the architecture and landscape are fully integrated.
