Formerly the administrative headquarters for the Bergstrom Air Force Base, built in 1969. Its distinctive round shape with an open center area caused the building to be dubbed "The Doughnut". It served as a strategic air command center during the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War and Desert Storm. The hotel is located on the grounds of the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
