When you play on the championship golf courses at Waikoloa Beach Resort, you experience an unrivalled quality of golf offered in a captivating setting. Tee off on emerald green fairways under the sway of dancing palm trees to the sound of crashing Pacific waves. The oceanfront courses attract players from all over the world seeking adventure, beauty and a thoroughly rewarding golfing experience.
The shorter of the two courses at 6566 yards, the Waikoloa Beach Course was designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones, Jr., who sought to make the most of the visually arresting location. Winding its way along historic lava flows, the par 70; 134 slope course borders the scenic Kohala Coast and lays claim to the most spectacular oceanfront par-five in Hawaii.
Before setting off to play, why not get into the swing of things on our extensive 30,000-square-foot putting course? Interspersed with sand traps and water features, the putting greens also feature plant species indigenous to Hawaii's Big Island, while signage along the way offers an informative self-guided botanical tour.
Set further inland than the Beach Course, the 7074 yard; par 72; 135 slope King's course was designed by British Open champion Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish as a more challenging endeavor. Featuring multiple tee placements, water hazards and pot bunkers, the course appeals to the strategic player and provides the level of complexity to warrant its impressive 73.4 rating. Privy to a backdrop of ancient volcanoes looking out towards the Pacific Ocean, the wide fairways are lined by palms and vibrant flowers indigenous to the region.
