OYSTER FESTIVAL (JUNE 1-2)
**Oyster Lover Alert** The Oyster Festival, which celebrates with live music and of course, oysters, is an educational-based event to support the Louisiana Gulf Oyster. This festival features tasting tents lined along the Mississippi River, featuring the best oyster recipes from city's top chefs.

VIEUX TO DO (JUNE 8-9)
The Vieux To Do trifecta includes three festivals in one: French Market Creole Tomato Festival, Cajun - Zydeco Festival and Louisiana Seafood Festival. Enjoy the flavors of local food, sounds of local music and inspiration by local artists all into one slam-jamming weekend.

ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL (JULY 4-7)
Essence Music Festival, held annually inside the Louisiana Superdome, is the nation's largest annual African-American music event, offering more than 50 acts each night on five stages.

INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH FRENCH QUARTER FIREWORKS (JULY 4)

RUNNING OF THE BULLS (JULY DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED)
‘San Fermin en Nueva Orleans’ is tribute to the world-famous encierro of Pamplona, Spain, also known as New Orleans' own Bull Run held annually in the French Quarter. In true New Orleans style, our bulls are none other than members of the Big Easy Rollergirls and other roller derby leagues.

TALES OF THE COCKTAIL EVENT (JULY 17-21)
An annual event in New Orleans, the world’s premier cocktail festival attracts cocktail professionals and enthusiasts alike with a spirited five days of seminars, dinners, competitions and tasting rooms where brands showcase their latest cocktails, cuisine and culture.

SATCHMO SUMMERFEST (AUGUST 1-4)
New Orleans' native son and famous musician, Louis ‘Satchmo’ Armstrong, is honored in true New Orleans fashion at the Satchmo SummerFest. The festival includes music, dancing and many food vendors from top restaurants around the city.

WHITE LINEN NIGHT (AUGUST 3)
Join the locals for a night on the town and explore the hippest art scene in the stunning galleries of New Orleans during the Annual White Linen Night in New Orleans' Arts and Warehouse District.

DIRTY LINEN NIGHT (AUGUST 10)
Similar to White Linen Night, Dirty Linen Night showcases art galleries, antiques, jewelry and specialty shops along the culturally rich and elegant Royal Street, the top New Orleans shopping street.

RED DRESS RUN (AUGUST 10)
The New Orleans Red Dress Run is one of the largest Red Dress Runs in the United States. Hosted by the New Orleans Hash House Harriers, the New Orleans Red Dress Run contributes to several charities.

COOLINARY NEW ORLEANS (AUGUST 1-31)
Celebrate dining and cuisine that delights your palate, which is an integral part of the history, fabric and culture of New Orleans. This annual culinary tradition features specially priced pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus at famous New Orleans restaurants offering menus that will cool down your wallet while warming up your appetite.

SOUTHERN DECADENCE FESTIVAL (AUGUST 28 – SEPTEMBER 2)
Informally known as ‘Gay Mardi Gras,’ Southern Decadence is a weeklong event sponsored by New Orleans' gay and lesbian community, and centers around the French Quarter.
