Hilton New York Fashion District is an upscale, fashion-themed hotel located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan's West Side. Members of the gay and lesbian community are an integral part of Hilton New York Fashion District's business; our hotel is TAG Approved, a member of IGLTA and an official LGBT Friendly Hotel.
Since the mid-1990s, Chelsea has become a center of the New York art world, with more than 350 modern art galleries from upcoming and respected artists calling the neighborhood home. Along with the numerous art galleries, Chelsea is also home to the Rubin Museum of Art, the Graffiti Research Lab, New York Live Arts, the Joyce Theater, The Kitchen and of course, the Fashion Institute of Technology. To support our location amidst many cultural institutions, Hilton New York Fashion District weaves together elements of America's historic garment industry by displaying works of art from acclaimed photographers and renowned artists, as well as infusing fabrics and patterns within the guest rooms and public spaces that are reminiscent of yesterday's traditional garments.
Chelsea is a melting pot of families, urban hipsters and young professionals. Eighth Avenue in Chelsea is a center for LGBT-oriented shopping and dining. Above 23rd Street, by the Hudson River, the neighborhood is post-industrial, featuring the High Line park that follows the river all through Chelsea; the conversion of the High Line to an elevated urban park has stimulated much real estate development in west Chelsea including several luxury apartment buildings. From 16th to 22nd Streets between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, mid-nineteenth-century brick and brownstone townhouses have been transformed and restored to their former glory.
Whether you travel for leisure or business, Hilton New York Fashion District will work to ensure your stay is memorable, rewarding and comfortable
